RV, Camper Van & Motorhome Alignment in Sanford, Florida
Pulling, wandering, uneven tire wear, crooked steering wheels, and hard-to-control highway handling.
Doug’s Alignment works on many camper vans, compact motorhomes, select Class C RVs, slide-in camper trucks, dually camper rigs, and adventure vehicles.
Many modern RVs are built on familiar Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Ford Transit, Ram ProMaster, Ford E-Series, Chevrolet Express, and heavy-duty pickup chassis. These vehicles do not always require a full-size commercial truck alignment facility, but they do require careful inspection, accurate measurement, and experience with unusual weight, loading, and suspension conditions.
RV and camper alignments start at $200.
Call with the year, RV manufacturer, exact model, chassis, and floorplan so we can confirm that it fits our equipment.
Will Your RV Fit Our Equipment?
Doug’s Alignment concentrates on camper vans, compact motorhomes, camper-equipped pickups, and select shorter Class C RVs that fit safely on our alignment rack.
- Wheelbase around 180 inches or less
- Actual vehicle weight below 14,000 pounds
- Compatible track width and tire placement
- Adequate body and undercarriage clearance
- Rear overhang that clears the rack and shop equipment
Overall length and wheelbase are not the same measurement, so some vehicles may be slightly longer overall and still fit.
Low steps, leveling jacks, tanks, generators, exhaust components, bodywork, and long rear overhangs can affect whether a motorhome can safely enter and sit on the rack.
Vehicles Generally Outside Our Capacity
- Most full-size Class A motorhomes
- Diesel pushers
- Super C motorhomes
- Heavy Freightliner and International motorhome chassis
- Large bus conversions
- Vehicles exceeding our practical weight or dimensional limits

RV and Motorhome Alignments Are Different
RVs place unusual demands on steering, suspension, tires, and alignment angles. Added body weight, water, fuel, cargo, generators, batteries, appliances, slide-outs, and rear overhang can affect ride height and handling.
A motorhome chassis may have been aligned before the coach body and equipment were installed. Once the completed RV is loaded and driven, it may sit and handle differently than the original bare chassis.
Before chasing alignment numbers, the steering, suspension, tires, ride height, and normal vehicle loading should be considered together.
- Wandering on the highway
- Constant steering correction
- Pulling left or right
- Crooked steering wheel
- Poor return to center
- Inside or outside tire wear
- Feathering or cupping
- Loose or vague steering
- Sensitivity to road crown or crosswinds
- Handling changes after loading or repairs
